BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Vibratory Rammers are used throughout Civil Engineering to compact everything form cohesive soil to backfill

HAZARDS

• Manual Handling

HEALTH AND SAFETY POINTS

• All oepratives using Vibratory Rammer must be properly trained
• All operatives must only use the accessories or attachment provided with the Rammer
• Never operate a Rammer with the Safety Device or Guards removed they are there for your protection
• Make sure that all the Guards and Safety Devices are in place and working prior to using the Rammer
• Never leave the Machine running unattended
• Always make sure that the Rammer will not tip over, roll, slide or fall when it is being operated when you are finished
• Make sure you know the noise level being given off by the Rammer. Hearing protection may be required
• Always use mechanical means where possible to transport the Rammer. Use the lifting point provided
• Never refill hot or running engine
• Do not smoke when refuelling the engine
• Always refuel the Rammer in well ventilated areas and replace the fuel tank cap
